This year’s Stamp Out Hunger food drive was a tremendous success, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the dedication of our volunteers, and the hard work of our local mail carriers, we collected approximately 3,500 pounds of food — an increase of about 10% over last year’s total!

Despite rainy weather throughout the day, the spirit of teamwork and community support never slowed down. We were fortunate to be able to set up operations inside the Congregational Church, and we extend our sincere thanks for graciously allowing us to use the space. Their hospitality helped keep volunteers, donations, and operations running smoothly all day long.

Trucks began arriving at 11:15 a.m., with the final truck pulling in around 3:15 p.m. Throughout the day, more than 40 volunteers worked tirelessly to greet drivers, weigh and sort donations, and organize banana boxes in preparation for distribution. It was especially wonderful to welcome several new volunteers this year and see so many community members come together to support our mission.

We also want to offer special recognition to our Mail Carriers, whose dedication and partnership are at the heart of this annual effort. Their commitment to serving the community goes far beyond delivering mail, and we deeply appreciate everything they do to help make this food drive successful year after year.

Every donated item and every volunteer hour helps us provide food and support to neighbors facing food insecurity in our community. Events like Stamp Out Hunger remind us how much can be accomplished when people come together with compassion and a shared purpose.

From all of us at the Mansfield Food Pantry, thank you for helping us continue to stamp out hunger in our community. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
