Nourishing the Future is proud to announce the recipients of the inaugural Nourishing the Future Scholarships. In its first year, the program awarded a total of $8,500 to two graduating seniors from Mansfield High School who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to community service through volunteering at the Mansfield Food Pantry.
Ms. Sabrina Monaghan was awarded a $5,000 scholarship and will attend Harvard College in the fall of 2026, where she plans to study Environmental Science and Public Policy. Sabrina has volunteered at the Mansfield Food Pantry since 2024 and also serves as President of her school’s Best Buddies Club.

Mr. Charles Sirois received a $3,500 scholarship and will attend McGill University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Charles is a member of the National Honor Society and French Honor Society, teaches martial arts at America’s Best Defense, and volunteered at the Mansfield Food Pantry during 2025 and 2026.

Nourishing the Future was created to recognize and support students who demonstrate a meaningful commitment to community service through volunteering at the Mansfield Food Pantry. By investing in students pursuing higher education, skilled trades, or military service, the scholarship honors the impact of service, encourages continued civic engagement, and helps empower the next generation of community-minded leaders.
The program is funded entirely through the generosity of private donors who believe in investing in young people dedicated to helping others. Nourishing the Future believes students who give back can shape a better future—for themselves and for their communities,
Mark Goodfellow of the Mansfield Food Pantry shared, “We are so happy Nourishing the Future has chosen to support students who demonstrate compassion, leadership, and commitment to community service here at the Pantry.”
Congratulations to Sabrina and Charles on their outstanding achievements, leadership, and dedication to serving the community.
