Monetary donations are always needed and appreciated. Much of our food is purchased through our valued partners, including the Greater Boston Food Bank. Your donations allow the Pantry to purchase fresh and non-perishable food at significantly discounted prices. Your generosity helps us maintain the Pantry and assist us in strategic planning for the future.
Whether you choose a traditional cash donation, an employer matching gift, or tax-smart charitable giving strategies, your generosity helps ensure that local individuals and families have access to nutritious food and compassionate support when they need it most. While the Pantry purchases most of the food on the shelves from the Greater Boston Food Bank and local grocery stores, donations of non-perishable, not yet expired food items are gratefully accepted.
Also consider purchasing any of the items listed below, which are always needed. *Family sized boxes only, not individual bags or double sized BJ’s/Costco type containers. These can take up too much space on our shelves leaving us unable to offer an assortment.*

Cereal (preferably brand-name) *No original Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios are needed at this time.*

Snacks and cookies (such as Chips Ahoy, Oreo's, Goldfish, granola and breakfast bars, Belvita bars, peanut butter crackers, chips)

Side dishes (such as boxed mashed potatoes, Knorr Sides and Pasta Roni)

Hearty soups (such as Progresso)

Meal makers (such as Hamburger Helper, Taco Kits, Hormel Compleats)

Canned pasta (such as Chef Boyardee)

The Pantry accepts locally grown produce from our community. If you are a local resident and have a home garden you may share your excess fruits
and vegetables with your neighbors in need. We will gladly accept home grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs that have been recently harvested and are in good condition.
Donations will be accepted by a Pantry Volunteer on the following days:
Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.,
Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.,
Or as scheduled with the Food Drive Coordinator fooddrive@MansfieldFoodPantry.org.
The Pantry will not accept produce that has been purchased from
another venue. Fruits, vegetables, or herbs that have been canned, jarred, cooked, or prepared will also not be accepted.
A donation form must be completed at the time of the donation.
Please note - donations of locally grown produce dropped off at the Pantry or in our Donation Box at any other time will not be accepted and be immediately disposed of. The Pantry reserves the right to not accept any donation that does not meet the criteria mentioned above.
*The Pantry does not accept any perishable items with the exception
of locally grown produce that meets the conditions mentioned above.

If you are age 70 ½ or older, you may be able to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to the Mansfield Food Pantry.
